Let us discuss few effective acne treatments that work for all skin types starting from normal to oily skin.

Exfoliation

Exfoliating periodically is the best solution and treatment for acne. There are two major types of exfoliation. One is mechanical and the other is chemical. Mechanical methods employ some device to rub and remove the upper layers of skin. Chemical methods involve using a chemical solution that would dissolve and clean dead skin cells. After exfoliation, fresh skin cells grow to replace the older cells. This layer would be very young and radiant. More importantly it would be acne free.

Acne Control Gels

Using acne control gels would be recommended for many. Generally these would supply micro nutrients to the upper layers of skin and at the same time can dissolve the dead skin cells. Generally it is not advisable to use these products during day time (unless mentioned). This is because, these can expose the inner layers of face skin which when exposed to skin can get sun burnt.

Abrasion

Periodic skin abrasion is yet another treatment which can keep acne under control. In this process, a mechanical brush would be used to wipe out the dead layer of skin. This is a painful process and is usually associated with bleeding. Anesthesia might be administered for these treatments. Once the outer layer is removed, the wounds produced by rubbing would begin to heel. This process would take at least a month. The new layer would be acne free.

Others

Benzoyl peroxide and sulfur treatments are other ones that are very useful in treating acne.

If you are suffering with acne and are on a tight budget, or you are completely confused by all of the Over the Counter (OTC) acne remedies available and don\’t know which one, if any, to use there are natural \”home remedies\” that can be used to treat and actually cure acne.

Home remedies are generally much less expensive that OTC products, and many of the ingredients are common household items.

Here is a List of Acne Home Remedies that You Can Use:

Hydrogen Peroxide – with a cotton ball, dab some hydrogen peroxide on acne areas. Hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria and is also a drying agent.

* Salt Water – if you have really oily skin, use warm (not hot) salt water to wash your face. Salt water cleans the skin, getting rid of the excess oil. Regular store bought salt can be used but natural sea salt is even better.

* Baking Soda - a good skin wash that really cleans clogged pores. Take a tablespoon of baking soda and mix with a small amount of warm water until it forms a paste. Apply gently to the face with a circular motion, being careful not to get it into your eyes, and leave it on for about 30 seconds. Rinse with warm water. Do this twice a day.

* Witch Hazel – try dabbing witch hazel on problem acne areas with a cotton ball 2 to 3 times a day. Witch hazel comes from a flowering plant, and has been used for centuries as a natural astringent.

* Aloe Vera – known for its healing properties, aloe vera has also been used for centuries to heal skin problems and burns. Many people swear by aloe vera cream or gel to cure acne.

Lemon Juice – obviously lemon juice is very acidic and is used by many to exfoliate the skin. Take some fresh squeezed lemon juice and apply it to your face and/or other acne problem areas. It\’s safe to use as an overnight facial mask – just remember to rinse it off with warm water in the morning…

Tea Tree Oil – has been used for years as an antiseptic and anti-bacterial. Try dabbibg the oil on specific acne areas with a cotton ball. Tea tree oil is potent, so don\’t use it over large areas of your face. You can buy it at most any drugstore.

* Oatmeal Mask - a great home remedy for acne that leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. You can either cook the oatmeal, then put it in the refrigerator until cool, or you can mix the uncooked oatmeal with water (purified water is best for your skin) until it forms a paste. Either way, apply it to your face and leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry. Use this mask twice a day.

* Vinegar – vinegar or apple cider vinegar is a natural bacteria killer and absorbs oil. Take a cotton ball and soak it in the vinegar (either kind of vinegar will do) diluted with water, and apply it to the acne areas.

Try some of these home remedies on your acne for a few weeks – some will work better for you than others, so experiment and find out which ones help to clear your acne.

While there is no one acne cyst treatment that works best for all cases, all of the treatment options for this more severe type of acne must be explored with the guidance of a dermatologist. This is because cystic acne is so deep in the skin and so riddled with inflammation that it does not respond very well to topical creams and over the counter treatments.

Discover The Acne Treatment That Actually Work! >>

In fact, for more severe cystic acne conditions even oral prescription medications are not enough to stop the very painful outbreaks.

Do You’ve Cystic Acne?

The first determination that needs to be made is whether you are genuinely suffering from the cystic form of acne. You can find three things to look at to make this determination:

1. The presence of nodules on the skin.

2. The presence of skin inflammation.

3. The presence of large cysts.

Nodules are hard lumps that remain underneath the skin, rather than rising up like pus-centered whiteheads. Cysts are similar in that they remain underneath the skin but they feel softer and are filled in the center with pus. Since they are underneath the skin and can take root quite deep, they are not incredibly responsive to treatments placed on the outer surfaces of the skin.

Inflammation shows itself by reddening and swelling the skin and possibly giving a warm feeling to the outer layers of skin. It often comes naturally with the deep-rooted cysts and nodules and also makes a more severe case of acne less responsive to typical more than the counter remedy choices.

If you might have regular nodules which are quite significant but no cysts, than chances are you’ve got one more more severe form of acne called nodular acne.

Acne Cyst Treatment Alternatives

You’ll not be able to effectively treat or prevent cystic acne flare-ups without consulting with a dermatologist. Seeing your doctor can get you referred to a great local dermatologist who will diagnose your condition and go over all of the available acne cyst treatment options with you. They will also be able to guide you toward the least invasive alternatives that will be efficient for your condition in particular.

You have to go into acne cyst treatment with realistic expectations. While there are treatments which can get rid of the cysts and the pain that comes with them, it may take some time to find which treatment options will work best for you.

The starting point for acne cyst treatment is often with oral prescription medications. You may be given an antibiotic at first to see if the bacteria inside the cysts can be killed off, but if you have a more serious case of cystic acne you may need to a more potent prescription that comes with more serious side effects.

If your acne does not respond to medication, a dermatologist may be able to recommend more demanding acne cyst treatment options such as injecting Cortisol directly into the lesions or surgical draining.

The larger the area of skin affected by the acne and the more inflammation involved, the harder it is to find acne cyst treatment plans that work long term. Have patience and work closely with your dermatologist to try everything possible before giving up completely. In some very severe cases you may have to accept improvements rather than expecting a complete cure from cystic acne.

Over the years of research, I have found one “effective” program That Will Show You How To Permanently Cure Your Acne and End The Breakouts with a Step-by-Step Holistic system without side effects to your health.
